The northern lights shine down so bright fill my eyes magnified I never figured you a quitter Dropping out on your broken ties The speed of light is a killer reflections stretching longer each reply The northern lights ignite the sky time flashes by mystified There are ways to make your blood flow and frozen soil will numb your soul The heat of light burns the snow impressions melting in the afterglow

Sci-en-tifi-ca-lee my struggle fact fiction fantasy Co-inci-dental-lee location a distant galaxy if you should glance down scribbled words cover my page if you should glance now scribbled grin covers my face Well this space ain't gonna fill itself it's double spaced leave a place just in case, just in case you need a place to make a revision Astral projections in astronomic proportions five hundred billion imaginary imperfections If you can't find yourself past future in-betweens If you can't get yourself past future in-betweens you're writing your own prophecy it's double spaced leave a place just in case, just in case you need a place to make a revision Pen to paper a turn of the phrase staring off into space if there ain't nothing new under the precious sun if there ain't nothing new under the holy sun if there ain't nothing new under our only sun take off and write another one it's double spaced leave a place just in case, just in case you need a place to make an addition

Stay Awake 04:20
gimme a lift back a your ambulance where we first kissed scene of the accident was it an accident? half a step forward or back stay awhile, try to relax, rest my eyes, catch 40 winks pouring coffee down the sink hand me the slip let go that death grip from calloused fingertips signed yours truly a hypocrite no you're the hypocrite the sweetest thing I ever drank shooting blanks down at the bank down the throat and into the tank gimme a break, it was just a prank gimme a sign just try blinking your eyes you're gunna be fine in the florescent sunrise rest assured I've had enough of that You can collect that debt when I'm dead now stay awake, stay awake For heavens sakes I've heard enough of that turn that light I can't escape just stay awake, stay awake stay awake stay awake you've got that fear that it takes to stay awake, stay awake

on the day before we were born explosions in the sky You can't say you weren't warned A fiery lullaby the oceans rise to meet a new moon stillness in the air you may try enclosing the tomb but I'll never surrender that last burning ember if I explode maybe you'd like me more If I explode maybe you'd like me more

about

No Cause For Alarm is an album about that uncomfortable sensation of feeling out of place - wrestling with who you are, how to make sense of it, and finding balance between conflicting aspects.

People Places Things Knoxville, Tennessee
